That's pretty amazing, lightning shots like that are hard to get. Did you take this from your house or just a random place? Very dark, but good.

i live down in the valley you see there. so i was up on the escartment... i tried playing around with brightening it up, but i lost cloud detail and i wasnt happy with the amount of noise generated, this was were i left it after coming from the .raws

Brightening with dark pictures like this will really do that to it. I try a lot to bring out the contrast in my black and white photos that turn out greener and it just makes it look like a poor shot.
